Carbon Monoxide Detector – Safety and Control
The WG-22.EGx-Nstd gas detector is a reliable device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) concentration in rooms. Its main task is to early detect dangerous levels of this gas, which is odorless and invisible, and its high concentration can pose a serious threat to life and health. This detector finds application both in home and industrial installations where there is a risk of carbon monoxide formation.
Functionality and application
The device uses a semiconductor sensor to precisely measure the CO concentration. When defined alarm thresholds are exceeded (30/60/150 ppm), the detector activates optical and acoustic signaling, informing about a potential hazard. Additionally, it has three programmable NO contact outputs, which allow connection of external alarm devices or ventilation control systems. The possibility of connecting an external 12V=/80mA siren expands the functionality of the device and allows it to be adapted to individual needs.
The WG-22.EGx-Nstd detector is ideal for use in the following places:
- Closed garages and underground parking lots – controlling ventilation to maintain a safe CO level.
- Solid fuel boiler rooms – monitoring carbon monoxide emissions during fuel combustion.
- Rooms with heating devices – ensuring the safety of users against CO poisoning.
- Workshops and industrial premises – controlling the concentration of CO generated during technological processes.
Construction and characteristic features
The detector is enclosed in a solid, splash-proof housing (IP54), which ensures its durability and resistance to environmental conditions. 230V power supply facilitates the installation and operation of the device. The built-in microprocessor guarantees stable operation and the possibility of calibrating the device, which ensures measurement accuracy for a long time. A replaceable gas sensor is another advantage – it allows for quick and inexpensive replacement of the measuring element without the need to replace the entire detector. The device is factory calibrated in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which confirms its high quality and reliability. Additionally, the detector indicates the need for recalibration after 3 years of use (10 years for carbon dioxide).
