This detector is designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) concentration in the air. The device is particularly useful in rooms where there is a risk of this dangerous gas emission – from boiler rooms, through garages, to production halls. Its task is to quickly detect a dangerous CO concentration and activate visual and audible alarms, as well as activate control outputs. This allows for immediate preventive action to protect health and life.

Functionality and application

The WG-22.NGBS-Nstd detector uses a semiconductor sensor that provides a precise measurement of carbon monoxide concentration. This is crucial for ensuring effective protection against poisoning by this odorless and invisible gas. The device finds application in:

• boiler rooms (fired with solid, liquid or gas fuels),
• rooms with appliances powered by coke gas,
• garages and underground car parks (ventilation control),
• production halls where CO may be produced during technological processes,
• auxiliary rooms adjacent to boiler rooms.

It is worth emphasizing that the detector has a replaceable sensor module, which significantly facilitates its servicing and reduces operating costs. Sensor replacement does not require complicated calibration procedures.

Construction and characteristic features

The detector is enclosed in a solid housing (IP43) resistant to splashing. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation of the device and temperature compensation of measurements. It has three CO alarm thresholds – A1 and A2 (average concentration over 15 minutes) and A3 (instantaneous concentration). Additionally, it is equipped with a "FAILURE" output, which indicates a detector malfunction or power failure. 230V power supply with internal backup guarantees continuous operation even during short-term power outages. The alarm siren effectively warns of exceeding the permissible CO concentration. The device is factory calibrated in the GAZEX laboratory accredited in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA No. AP150), which guarantees the accuracy and reliability of measurements.
