Gas detector – reliable protection and air quality control
The WG-28.EGx/A gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations in rooms. Its main task is to ensure safety by early detection of dangerous levels of these gases, as well as to control ventilation in enclosed spaces. The device finds application both in home and industrial installations, where monitoring air quality and preventing hazards is crucial.
Functionality and application
The WG-28.EGx/A detector uses advanced semiconductor sensors to measure CO and an infrared (IR) sensor to measure CO2, guaranteeing high precision and reliability of readings. Optical and acoustic alarm signaling informs about exceeding defined gas concentration thresholds. The ability to connect an external siren further increases the effectiveness of warning. The device is particularly useful in:
- garages and underground parking lots – controlling ventilation systems;
- solid fuel boiler rooms – monitoring CO emissions;
- rooms with heating devices – ensuring safe use;
- cold storage rooms – controlling CO2 concentration;
- car workshops - monitoring exhaust emissions.
Construction and characteristic features
The WG-28.EGx/A detector is characterized by a solid construction and easy installation. 12V DC power supply ensures wide compatibility with various power systems. Built-in relay outputs allow integration with external ventilation or alarm control systems. The device is equipped with three alarm thresholds for CO (30/60/150 ppm) and three for CO2 (1000/1400/1800 ppm), allowing for precise adjustment to specific working conditions. Additionally, the detector has an optical signal indicating the need to calibrate the device after 3 years of use (for CO) or 10 years (for CO2). All elements are placed in a splash-proof housing (IP54), which increases resistance to environmental conditions. The use of removable terminals facilitates the connection of multi-wire cables, and compact dimensions (80 x 195 x 68 mm) allow for discreet mounting in various locations.
