Gas detector – reliable protection and control

The WG-28.EGx/A24-Nstd gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations in rooms. Its main task is to ensure safety by early detection of dangerous levels of these gases, as well as to optimize ventilation in order to maintain adequate air quality. The device combines detection, signaling and the ability to control external devices, making it a versatile solution for both installers and end users.

Principle of operation and application

The detector uses two different measurement technologies – a semiconductor sensor for detecting carbon monoxide and an optical (infrared) sensor for measuring carbon dioxide. This combination ensures high accuracy and reliability of measurements. The device is ideal for use in closed garages, boiler rooms, rooms with refrigeration equipment, loading areas and anywhere where there is a risk of accumulation of CO or CO2. Thanks to the possibility of custom calibration, the detector can be adapted to the specific needs of a given facility.

Functionality and construction

The WG-28.EGx/A24-Nstd offers three independent alarm thresholds, which can be set at the factory or adjusted to individual requirements. If the defined values are exceeded, visual and acoustic signaling is activated (built-in siren or the possibility of connecting an external one). It has three standard NO relay outputs, which allows integration with ventilation systems or other alarm devices. 24V DC power supply ensures stable operation of the device. A robust housing (IP54) protects against splashing and ensures durability even in harsh environmental conditions. In addition, the ability to connect external devices powered by 12V= or 24V= increases the functionality of the detector. It is worth emphasizing that sensor replacement is easy and quick – which translates into low operating costs. All terminals are removable, which facilitates the installation of multi-strand wires.
