Gas detector – reliable refrigerant monitoring

The WG-61.EGx/A24 detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of refrigerant presence (HFC, e.g., R410A) in enclosed spaces. Its task is to quickly detect exceedances of permissible concentrations, which is crucial for safety and environmental protection. The device is particularly useful in places where air conditioning, refrigeration or heat pump systems are used.

Application and functionality

The WG-61.EGx/A24 detector finds wide application in various facilities, such as refrigeration machine rooms, cold storage rooms, rooms with air conditioning equipment, and in places of potential refrigerant leakage. In the event of a dangerous gas concentration being detected, the detector activates both optical signaling (LEDs) and acoustic signaling (built-in siren), and also activates control outputs allowing connection of external alarm devices or ventilation systems. This allows for a quick response to the threat and minimization of potential damage.

Design and characteristic features

The device is characterized by a solid construction and high reliability. It has a built-in microprocessor that ensures stable operation, temperature compensation and the ability to read event history. A replaceable gas sensor facilitates operation and reduces maintenance costs. The detector is factory calibrated and certified in an accredited GAZEX laboratory (in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard), which guarantees measurement accuracy. 24V= power supply ensures compatibility with various power systems. In addition, the detector has three programmable alarm thresholds (1000 ppm, 2000 ppm, 2500 ppm for R410A) and three NO contact outputs for connecting external devices. The IP54 protection class housing protects against splashing water and ensures the durability of the device in harsh working conditions. The ability to connect an external siren expands the functionality of the detector and adapts it to the individual needs of the user.
