The WG-73.EG/A gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of hydrogen concentration in enclosed spaces, particularly in garages for vehicles powered by fuel cells. Its selective sensor provides precise measurement, and the robust construction guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The detector is a key element of the safety system, minimizing the risk of explosion or gas poisoning.

Functionality and application

The device cyclically measures the level of hydrogen in the air, and when defined alarm thresholds are exceeded (10%, 20% or 30% LEL) it activates optical signaling and activates control outputs. This allows for a quick response and taking appropriate action, such as starting ventilation or cutting off the gas supply. The WG-73.EG/A detector can be used not only in garages, but also in vehicle inspection stations, car workshops and warehouses, where there is a risk of hydrogen leakage.

Detector design and features

The detector has been designed with ease of installation and operation in mind. Its one-piece, splash-proof housing (IP54) protects the internal components from mechanical damage and weather conditions. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation, thermal compensation and the possibility of testing and calibration without the need to open the housing. The replaceable gas sensor facilitates servicing and reduces operating costs. 12V power supply allows integration with existing alarm and control systems. It has three configurable relay control outputs to meet the needs of the installation. In addition, the detector is calibrated in its own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees measurement accuracy.
