Carbon Dioxide Detector – Reliable Air Quality Control
The WG-8R8.EGx/A24-Nstd gas detector is an autonomous device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in enclosed spaces. It utilizes an infrared (IR) sensor, providing precise and stable measurements. The device is particularly useful in places where controlling CO2 levels is crucial for safety and comfort, such as garages, boiler rooms, or rooms with air conditioning units.
Functionality and Application
The WG-8R8.EGx/A24-Nstd detector not only measures CO2 concentration but also has a built-in acoustic and optical alarm that alerts when defined alarm thresholds are exceeded. The ability to connect an external siren expands the device's functionality, enabling effective warning in case of a dangerous increase in gas concentration. 24V power supply ensures wide compatibility with various power systems.
The device finds application in:
- closed garages and underground parking lots – ventilation control;
- solid fuel boiler rooms;
- rooms with air conditioning and refrigeration units;
- cold storage rooms for food;
- machine rooms with refrigerants.
Construction and Characteristic Features
The detector is designed for ease of installation and operation. All terminals are removable, making it easier to connect multi-strand wires. A one-piece, splash-proof housing (IP54) ensures durability and resistance to environmental conditions. The built-in microprocessor guarantees reliable operation and measurement stability, and also allows reading the event history without the need to interfere with the housing. A replaceable gas sensor guarantees low operating costs – sensor replacement is simple and does not require specialized knowledge. Additionally, the detector is factory calibrated in its own GAZEX Accredited Calibration Laboratory according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which confirms high measurement accuracy. Optical signaling informs about the need for calibration after 3 years of use (10 years for carbon dioxide).
