Carbon dioxide detection for safety and comfort
The WG-8R8.EGx gas detector is an autonomous device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in enclosed spaces. Its task is to ensure adequate air quality, especially where people gather or combustion processes occur. The detector reacts to exceeding defined alarm thresholds, signaling a hazard both visually and audibly. Additionally, it has control outputs allowing connection of external alarm devices or ventilation systems.
Functionality and application
The WG-8R8.EGx detector finds wide application in places requiring CO2 level control, such as:
- closed garages and underground parking lots – controlling ventilation to maintain a safe CO2 level;
- solid fuel boiler rooms – monitoring flue gases and preventing their accumulation;
- rooms with air conditioning and refrigeration units – air quality control;
- cold storage rooms for food products – ensuring proper storage conditions;
- machine rooms with refrigerants - protection against leaks.
Thanks to the precise IR sensor and the possibility of calibration, the detector provides reliable measurements and minimizes the risk of false alarms.
Construction and characteristic features
The WG-8R8.EGx detector is distinguished by its solid construction and ease of use. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and the ability to read the event history without the need to interfere with the housing. The replaceable gas sensor guarantees low operating costs, and three programmable alarm thresholds allow you to adapt the detector's operation to the specific needs of a given facility. The device is powered by 230V~, and its compact dimensions (80 x 195 x 68 mm) facilitate mounting in various locations. Additionally, the detector has three NO contact outputs that can be used to control external devices, such as sirens or ventilation systems. The possibility of connecting an external 12V=/80mA siren expands the functionality of the device. All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which confirms their high quality and measurement accuracy.
