Gas detector – reliable concentration control of oxygen

The WG-9E5.EGx/A24 gas detector is an autonomous device designed for continuous monitoring of oxygen concentration in rooms. Its main task is to early detect dangerous excess of oxygen, which is crucial in places such as oxygen therapy chambers, medical laboratories or rooms using oxygen in industrial processes. The device is characterized by high measurement accuracy and reliable operation, ensuring safety of use.

Functionality and application

The WG-9E5.EGx/A24 detector uses an electrochemical gas sensor that reacts to oxygen concentrations in the range of 18-25% by volume (with alarm thresholds set at 19%, 18% and 25%). If the defined threshold values are exceeded, the detector activates both optical and acoustic signaling, and also activates control outputs. This enables a quick response and taking appropriate action in the event of a threat. The device finds application in many areas, including:

• rooms with oxygen therapy devices (HFNO),
• medical laboratories,
• industrial plants using oxygen in production processes,
• places for storage and transport of medical gases.

Construction and operation

The WG-9E5.EGx/A24 detector is distinguished by a solid construction and ease of use. 24V DC power supply ensures stable operation of the device. The built-in microprocessor is responsible for reliable operation, temperature compensation and event history logging. A replaceable gas sensor is a practical solution – it allows for quick and inexpensive replacement of the measuring element without the need to disassemble the entire detector from the installation. In addition, the detector has three programmable alarm thresholds and three NO (normally open) switching outputs, which allows integration with ventilation control systems or other safety devices. The device is calibrated in its own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory, which guarantees measurement accuracy and compliance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standards. Compact dimensions (80 x 195 x 68 mm) facilitate mounting in various locations.
