Gas detection alarm module

The MDP-16.ZA24/M measuring alarm module is an advanced device designed for monitoring and controlling gas detection systems. It finds application in both two-threshold systems and active gas installation safety systems, providing reliable protection against hazards. The module allows connecting up to 16 detectors, offering flexibility in system configuration. Thanks to the RS-485 port and outputs for controlling valves, it integrates with existing infrastructure and enables a quick response in case of danger.

Functionality and application

MDP-16.ZA24/M works with measuring and threshold detectors manufactured by GAZEX, as well as with devices from other manufacturers equipped with a contact output (using K-8P or K-16P concentrators). It controls the current drawn by the detectors, automatically disconnecting faulty devices, which ensures the continuity of the system. It also monitors the status of the wired connection with the detectors, detecting potential failures and malfunctions.

The module offers advanced alarm configuration options – for measuring detectors, two alarm levels and one fixed level (range exceedance) can be set, and for threshold detectors – two alarm levels. Additionally, the device calculates average NDS and NDSCh values for toxic gases and allows selecting measurement units (%, %DGW, mA, ppm). The function of dividing into two zones (S1 and S2) allows controlling different external devices depending on the location of the alarm. The version with the "Z" designation allows controlling two shut-off valves and checking their efficiency.
