Silent PP Drainage – Comfort and Durability

The Silent-PP HT pipe is a component of a low-noise drainage system designed for wastewater drainage in residential and commercial buildings. Made of high-quality plastic, it provides not only effective water drainage but also reduces the noise generated by flowing media. This solution is appreciated by installers for its ease of installation and by end-users for its comfort.

The pipe features a three-layer construction, which affects its durability and insulation properties. The inner layer provides a smooth surface minimizing flow resistance, the middle layer is responsible for sound damping, and the outer layer provides resistance to mechanical damage and weather conditions. Additionally, the pipe has an EPDM gasket guaranteeing the tightness of connections even after a long period of operation.

Construction and properties

The Silent-PP HT pipe with a diameter of 125 mm and a length of 500 mm has a socket connection system, which facilitates and speeds up installation. The ring stiffness class SN4 ensures resistance to external loads. The coefficient of thermal expansion at 0.08 mm/(m.K) takes into account the natural dimensional changes of the pipe under the influence of temperature, minimizing the risk of stress in the installation. The water content in the pipe is 10.7 l/m, and the wall thickness is 4.2 mm – parameters affecting its strength and stability. The pipe is designed for non-pressure installations.

The Silent-PP pipe is a system component, which means it works with other elements of the same Geberit drainage system, ensuring compatibility and integrity of the entire installation. The possibility of outdoor storage for up to two years without loss of properties is an additional advantage for installation companies carrying out projects in the open air or requiring material storage on the construction site. The PP-C/PP-MD/PP-C material used in production guarantees high chemical resistance to substances contained in wastewater and long-term operation without the risk of corrosion or material degradation.
