Diameter reduction in stainless steel installations
The Gebo reducing threaded coupling, made of high-quality stainless steel 316L (1.4404), is a reliable solution for connecting pipes of different diameters in demanding conditions. This connector allows for a precise transition from a 1 1/2 inch (40 mm) pipe to a 1 inch (25 mm) pipe, ensuring a tight and durable connection. It is an ideal element for use in both new and modernized installations.
Materials and application
Made of stainless steel 316L, the coupling is characterized by exceptional resistance to corrosion, chemical substances and high temperature (up to 220°C). This makes it perfect for water installations, including those intended for drinking water, as well as systems transporting various chemical media. Replacing traditional brass fittings with steel ones increases the lifespan of the installation and minimizes the risk of failure. The use of stainless steel grade 316L also guarantees high pressure resistance – up to 150 lbs (approx. 10.5 bar).
Design and assembly
The coupling has a tapered BSPT-Rc (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) internal gas thread on both sides, ensuring easy and secure assembly. The outer diameters of the pipes connected to the coupling are 48.3 mm and 33.7 mm respectively. The stepped design of the coupling ensures a stable connection and minimizes the risk of leaks. The marking "g316" or "g6" on the housing confirms the use of high-quality stainless steel by the manufacturer Gebo.
