Stainless steel threaded reducer – a reliable connection in demanding conditions

This threaded reducer, made of high-quality 316L stainless steel, is a key element in installations requiring corrosion resistance and aggressive media resistance. It allows connecting pipes of different diameters – 2 inches and 1 inch – while maintaining tightness and durability. This fitting is ideal for both industrial applications and home installations where reliability and longevity are important.

The use of high-grade 316L (1.4404) stainless steel guarantees exceptional resistance to chemical substances, including acids, and high temperatures (up to 220°C). This makes the coupling suitable for water installations intended for drinking water, as well as systems transporting various chemical media. It is a solid alternative to traditional brass fittings, offering significantly higher durability and corrosion resistance.

Design and application

The coupling has a tapered BSPT-Rc (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) internal gas thread on both sides, ensuring easy and secure installation. The step in the design allows for a smooth transition between different pipe diameters, minimizing pressure loss and ensuring optimal medium flow. The nominal connection diameter is 2 inches (50 mm) and 1 inch (25 mm), and the outer pipe diameters are 60.3 mm and 33.7 mm.

The fitting is marked by Gebo with the symbol g316 or g6, confirming the use of high-quality materials and guaranteeing origin. The maximum working pressure is approximately 10.5 bar (150 lbs), making it suitable for most standard installations. Thanks to its design and material, the coupling not only ensures a tight and durable connection but also minimizes the risk of failure and downtime in the system.
