Construction and application

The Saturn saddle tee is a component connecting a main pipe with a diameter of 400 mm (DN 400) to a branch pipe with a diameter of 110 mm (DN 110). Its one-piece, simple design facilitates installation and ensures a tight connection. SDR 11 is a dimension ratio that determines the ratio of the outer diameter of the pipe to the thickness of its wall – the lower the SDR value, the thicker the wall and the higher the pressure resistance. In this case, SDR 11 means that the tee is adapted to work under a pressure of up to 16 bar (PN16) for water and 10 bar (PN10) for gas.

The application of this type of tee is wide – it is ideal for connecting internal installations to the water or gas network, as well as in irrigation or sewage systems. The reducing model allows for a smooth transition between different pipe diameters, eliminating the need for additional reducing fittings. The raw surface finish of the connection points requires proper preparation before welding or butt fusion.
