Automatic power switch 4P 125A HIC412A
Automatic power transfer switch 4P 125A – solution for safe and uninterrupted power flow
The device automatically transfers the load between two power sources — e.g., public grid and generator — without interruption of supply. It operates thanks to an integrated motor drive that performs the transfer without manual intervention. A locking mechanism prevents accidental re‑closing, ensuring safety during maintenance or failure.
This is a full‑rated main disconnect, safety and maintenance type — allowing physical isolation of the entire circuit, meeting normative requirements for service work. It is not an emergency stop switch, so it does not replace an E‑Stop function, but provides complete isolation while working on the line. Its construction is a permanently mounted device — installed directly in the distribution board, without the need for additional mounting elements such as a DIN rail or front mounting.
It switches a current of 125 A at 380–415 V AC. Rated operating power at 400 V is 56 kW (AC-23) — sufficient for motors, heaters and other high‑power loads. Making capacity at 400 V is 82 kW — confirming its performance during frequent switching. Rated conditional short‑circuit current is 50 kA, and the withstand short‑circuit current (Icw) is 7 kA for 1 second — indicating resistance to extreme short‑circuit conditions typical of industrial installations.
Main contact terminals are screw‑type — providing stable and durable connections, easy torque verification by the installer. An IP20 protection rating on the front side offers basic protection against accidental contact with live parts and dust. The device has no auxiliary contacts — no status indication or remote control capability. It also lacks an optional voltage release or other expansion modules.
Its operation is automatic and based on voltage detection on the input network: loss of voltage → transfer to backup; restoration of voltage → return to the original source (if set). It does not support remote communication, has no digital interface, and cannot be monitored by BMS/SCADA systems.
This device is not intended for DIN‑rail mounting, has no front or intermediate mounting holes — its only installation method is fixed mounting in a distribution board as a permanent protective device.
