Automatic power transfer switch between sources

The device automatically transfers the load between two power sources – e.g., the public grid and an emergency generator – without interruption of power supply. When the voltage in one source drops, the controller detects it and switches to the other source. When voltage returns to the original source, the device switches back automatically, maintaining system stability.

Construction and safety functions

It has three stable positions: I (source 1), 0 (off), II (source 2) – preventing accidental switching due to vibration or impact. A locking mechanism prevents unauthorized manual operation, and an integrated motor drive provides smooth and safe switching without operator intervention. The device is not intended as an emergency stop, but performs the functions of a main disconnect, safety, and maintenance switch – meaning it can be used as an isolation point during servicing or fault conditions.

Installation and operating conditions

It is mounted directly in distribution panels on a DIN rail or mounting plate. No front‑mount or 4‑hole mounting is required. The main contact terminals are screw‑type – allowing easy and solid wire connection. IP20 protection guards against touch of live parts but does not protect against dust or water – therefore it is unsuitable for outdoor or humid environments. Operating voltage 380–415 V AC, continuous current 63 A – suitable for typical loads in industrial and commercial circuits. Switching capacity 41 kW at 400 V allows safe control of motors and other devices with high inrush current.

Strength and compliance

The switch withstands short‑circuit current up to 50 kA – guaranteeing safety even in extreme fault conditions. Short‑time withstand current is 7 kA for 1 second – meeting standards for high‑power systems. Rated power for AC-23 (motors) is 28 kW, and for AC-21 (resistive loads) – 41 kW. The device complies with IEC 60947-3 and IEC 60947-6-1, confirming its conformity with European low‑voltage equipment requirements.
