This circuit breaker combines the functions of an overcurrent and residual current device, providing comprehensive protection for the electrical installation. It is an RCBO, i.e. a residual current device with overcurrent protection, ideal for use in residential and commercial buildings. Its ability to quickly respond to overloads and short circuits (B characteristic) and to detect leakage currents (type A) makes it a reliable element of the safety system.

Protection and Application

The ADA506D circuit breaker is designed to protect circuits against the effects of short circuits, overloads and electric shock. Its rated current of 6A makes it perfectly suited for protecting lighting circuits, socket circuits or devices with lower power consumption. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 10kA guarantees effective disconnection of the circuit in the event of a serious failure. Additionally, the presence of a disconnectable neutral pole (N) simultaneously with the phase increases safety.

Characteristics and Construction

The device is characterized by a compact design – it occupies only 2 modules on a TH35 rail, which facilitates installation even in tight switchboards. The mounting depth of 68 mm allows for flexible adaptation to different configurations of electrical cabinets. The circuit breaker has a mechanical lock, preventing accidental switching on after being switched off by the protection. Its IP2X degree of protection provides protection against touching with a finger and against the ingress of solid bodies with a diameter of more than 12.5 mm. It is designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to 40°C, making it a universal solution for various environmental conditions.
