Circuit breaker Icu=50kA 1P C 10A HMX110
Circuit breaker with high breaking capacity
Protects circuits from overload and short circuit, especially where high inrush currents occur — e.g., motors, pumps or LED lighting with transformers. The C characteristic allows it to withstand short‑duration current spikes without unnecessary tripping, reducing the number of false trips in practice.
Mounted in a distribution cabinet on a DIN rail, it occupies 1.5 modules (27 mm width). The depth is 70 mm — fits perfectly into standard enclosures. Screw terminals accept single‑core conductors up to 70 mm² and multi‑core up to 50 mm², providing flexibility when connecting both thin control wires and larger power conductors. The tightening torque of 3.6 Nm is precisely specified — no guessing whether it is properly tightened.
For the installer — precision and compatibility
All terminals are aligned — top and bottom — which simplifies installation in panels with many breakers and provides a tidy, uniform layout without “high” or “low” ends. Protection class IP20 guards against contact with live parts, but it is not intended for damp installations. Operating temperature from –25 °C to +70 °C allows use even in unheated rooms or outdoors in suitably rated housings.
Energy‑limiting class 3 means that, in the event of a short circuit, it quickly limits the current flow — reducing the risk of damage to cables and other installation components. The rated impulse voltage of 6 kV ensures resistance to network surges (e.g., lightning strikes or switching). All of this complies with IEC 60947-2 and IEC 60898-1 — so it meets the latest standards.
For the user — stability and safety
You don’t have to worry about sudden trips when starting equipment. This breaker does not “jump” at the start of a pump or fan — it stays steady until a genuine short circuit or sustained overload occurs. A working voltage up to 415 V AC makes it suitable for both domestic 230 V circuits and three‑phase industrial installations. The inability to disconnect the neutral (N) conductor means it is a classic single‑pole breaker — not suitable for TN-S systems that require neutral disconnection.
Note: this is not a residual‑current device. If you need protection against electric shock, add an RCD separately.
