The FW IP44/II distribution box is a solid and functional solution for electrical power distribution, ideal for both commercial and public buildings. Surface mounting simplifies installation, and the IP44 protection rating ensures safety in environments exposed to moisture and dust. The steel housing guarantees durability and resistance to mechanical damage.

Construction and user features

The distribution box offers four rows for mounting devices, allowing flexible adaptation to installation needs. The width of the distribution box, corresponding to 12 modules, provides enough space for necessary protection and control elements. The presence of a DIN rail facilitates the mounting of modular devices. Additionally, the distribution box has grounding and neutral conductor terminals, simplifying the installation connection. The possibility of expansion allows the distribution box to be adapted to changing requirements. Made of powder-coated steel sheet in white (RAL 9010), it looks aesthetically pleasing and blends into the surroundings. An opening in the housing allows cables to be routed without the need for drilling additional holes.

Installation and safety

Surface mounting is quick and easy – it does not require complicated preparatory work. The IP44 protection rating protects against access to dangerous installation elements and against the effects of weather conditions. The lack of a lock and a transparent cover/door minimizes costs while providing easy access to the inside of the distribution box during maintenance or repair. The distribution box is not compliant with the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive – this should be taken into account when designing installations in places sensitive to electromagnetic interference.
