Protection and operational safety

The full cover from the univers N system is a fundamental finishing element for low-voltage switchgear - it protects the distribution field from accidental interference by unauthorized persons. Made of plastic in pure white (RAL 9010), it is equipped with four quick-locking pins, which allow for efficient opening and closing of the enclosure without the use of tools. The product is standardly adapted for tamper-sealing, allowing the interior of the switchgear to be secured against unauthorized access - essential in both commercial installations and public utility buildings.

The IP30 protection rating means an effective barrier against objects larger than 2.5 mm (e.g., tools or fingers), but without full water resistance - therefore, the cover is used in dry indoor rooms.

Dimensions and compatibility with the univers N system

The overall dimensions of the cover are 150 × 250 × 50 mm (height × width × depth). The design corresponds to one field in one row, ensuring precise fit for modular switchgear from the univers N family. The dimensions comply with the DIN 43870 dimensional standard, guaranteeing compatibility with other system elements - TH35 rails, enclosures, and cable glands from the same manufacturer.

The product is intended for low-voltage switchgear with a rated current of up to 1600 A at an operating voltage of 3AC 690 V / 50 Hz. It can serve as a replacement part for modernizing existing installations or as a supplement for newly designed switchgear.

Compliance with standards and regulations

The cover meets the requirements of German quality standards confirmed by VDE approval issued based on:

• DIN EN 61439-1/-2/-3 (VDE 0660 part 600-1/-2/-3) - type tests for switchgear assemblies,

• DIN VDE 0603-1 - requirements for metering boards.

The manufacturer also declares compliance with RoHS and REACH directives, confirming the absence of SVHC substances in the material composition.
