Overcurrent protective circuit breaker Icu=50kA 4P C 32A HMX432
Protects circuits with motors and devices with high inrush current
The C characteristic allows the circuit breaker to delay its response to short‑duration current surges — e.g., when starting pumps, fans or compressors. It does not trip unintentionally during start‑up, while still responding effectively to sustained overloads and short circuits. This is a key feature for installations in territorial facilities, warehouses or workshops.
Operates safely even under extreme conditions
A rated making capacity of 50 kA at 230 V and 400 V means the breaker can withstand the most severe short circuits — those that may occur in modern low‑impedance installations. Energy‑limiting class 3 reduces the amount of energy let through during a fault, decreasing the risk of equipment damage and fire. Pollution degree 3 and surge category 3 enable safe operation in industrial environments — e.g., areas with dust, moisture or frequent surges.
Installation and wiring are simple, but not at the expense of safety
Surface‑mount installation on a DIN rail (6 modules) is standard, and the design with aligned top and bottom clamps enables a clean, symmetrical layout in the distribution board — without the need for additional fitting components. Single‑core conductors up to 70 mm² and multi‑core up to 50 mm² can be connected without adapters — no terminations required. The tightening torque of 3.6 Nm is precisely specified: too much = damaged clamp, too little = overheating. There is no room for guesswork.
No neutral pole — but this is not a mistake
The neutral pole is not disconnected — in accordance with IEC 60947-2 for MCB‑type circuit breakers in TN-S or TN-C-S systems. In practice this means there is no risk of losing neutral potential during a fault, and the installation remains stable. This solution is for professionals — not for amateurs trying to “do everything together”.
Operates from –25 °C to +70 °C
There is no need to worry about temperature in technical rooms in winter or boiler rooms in summer. The breaker operates without additional heating or cooling — even when ambient temperature fluctuates extremely. Protection class IP20 does not provide water resistance — but that is acceptable: the device is intended for indoor panel mounting, not for outdoor use.
Optional accessories provide flexibility
Auxiliary contacts, an undervoltage release, or status indication can be added without replacing the entire unit. This means the installation can be expanded over time — e.g., adding shutdown indication or remote control without needing to replace the cabinet.
Dimensions and weight are realistic
The mounting depth of 70 mm is standard for modern cabinets — it does not protrude excessively nor require a deep cutout. A weight of approximately 0.77 kg is a light load for a DIN rail — no additional support is needed. A width of 106 mm (6 modules) allows compact placement while maintaining spacing between components.
