Power switch h3+ P630 LSI 3x250A 50kA HMW250JR
Power circuit breaker with LSI protection, 3‑pole, 250 A
The device is fixed, mounted directly in the distribution board – it does not require a DIN rail. The main circuit terminals are located on the front panel, and the connection is made with screws – this solution is suitable for industrial installations where durability and serviceability are priorities. All poles are mechanically linked, and the breaker has a trip indicator – the device status is visible without opening the enclosure.
The rated continuous current is 250 A, and the overload‑trip setting range covers values from 100 A to 250 A. This allows precise adjustment of its sensitivity to the load – e.g., for motors with high inrush current a higher setting is chosen to avoid false trips. The delayed short‑circuit trip has a range from 122.85 A to 2500 A – enabling selective coordination with other breakers in the network, limiting fault clearance to the affected circuit.
The short‑circuit rating is 50 kA at 400 V – sufficient to protect installations in large industrial or commercial facilities where high fault currents are possible. There is no built‑in earth‑fault or over‑voltage protection – if such protection is required, an appropriate optional module must be added.
IP40 protection class guards against solid objects larger than 1 mm – adequate for indoor use but not suitable for outdoor or humid locations. The rated voltage range is 220–690 V AC, making the device suitable for both 400 V three‑phase systems and higher industrial voltages.
Integrated LSI (long‑time, short‑time, instantaneous) trip operates in three modes:
- Long‑time – delayed reaction to overloads (time from 0.5 s to 16 s),
- Short‑time – faster tripping on high short‑circuit currents (from 50 ms),
- Instantaneous – immediate tripping when current exceeds the setting (from 3×In).
This provides flexible adaptation of the characteristic to the nature of the load – e.g., for lines with transformers or motors a higher class breaker is not necessary.
Mounting on a DIN rail is not possible and there is no built‑in motor drive – however, a drive is available as an optional accessory. The absence of auxiliary contacts (neither make nor break) means the breaker state cannot be directly signaled to a PLC controller without an additional module.
Operating temperature: –25 °C to +70 °C – suitable even for unheated industrial spaces. Maximum tightening torque for terminals: 18 Nm – must be observed during installation.
Supplied with protection – no additional components are required for the basic protective function.
