Fast and safe protective conductor connections

The KN06E protective self-clamping block from the QuickConnect system is a compact solution for implementing protective earth (PE) conductor connections in residential and commercial distribution boards. The green housing clearly identifies the terminals as part of the protective circuit - in accordance with the convention used in electrical installations worldwide.

Construction and connection capabilities

The block offers 6 connection points arranged in two groups:

• 1 main terminal - for solid or stranded conductors up to 16 mm², designed as a screw terminal. It supports a tightening torque of up to 2.5 Nm (increases to 3 Nm for a 25 mm² cross-section), ensuring a durable and secure contact even with thick supply conductors.
• 5 QuickConnect auxiliary terminals - for solid and stranded conductors from 1.5 to 4 mm², operated without tools. Simply insert the bare end of the conductor, and the spring-loaded self-clamping mechanism locks the connection.

This configuration allows for an elegant distribution of one thick protective conductor into five auxiliary circuits - a typical scenario in multi-circuit distribution boards.

Operating parameters and dimensions

Despite its small size, the block carries a rated current of 63 A at a voltage of 230 V. The housing has a width of only 30 mm, a height of 33 mm, and a depth of 34 mm, making it one of the most compact components in the Hager QuickConnect family. The copper content in the product is 0.008 kg, which is relevant when estimating installation material costs.

Thanks to this, the block can be mounted either as a standalone component on a TH35 rail or as part of a larger set of phase (KN06P), neutral (KN06N), and protective terminals - creating a complete distribution system tailored to a specific installation.

Compliance and durability

The product complies with the RoHS directive, confirming the absence of hazardous substances in the housing material composition. Made of polyamide (PA), it provides the appropriate thermal and mechanical resistance required for operating conditions inside a distribution board. The protection class resulting from the housing design corresponds to Class II - basic insulation without housing grounding.
