The ADM416QC residual current device with overcurrent protection element is a protective device that combines overcurrent protection and leakage current detection functions in a compact modular housing. The four-pole design provides comprehensive protection for all conductors in the circuit, while the Type B characteristic guarantees rapid response to short circuits while maintaining immunity to inrush currents.
Design and electrical parameters
The device operates at a rated voltage of 230-400V AC and a rated current of 16A, offering a short-circuit breaking capacity of 6kA in accordance with EN 60898-1 and IEC 61009-1 standards. The rated residual current is 30mA with Type A sensitivity, ensuring effective protection against electric shock while maintaining immunity to harmonic disturbances.
The B tripping characteristic guarantees an immediate response to short-circuit currents in the range of 3-5×In, while simultaneously providing immunity to the inrush currents of motors and transformers. An insulation voltage of 500V and an impulse withstand voltage of 4kV ensure safe operation in demanding environmental conditions.
Connection system and mounting
The design utilizes the innovative QuickConnect/Biconnect connection system, enabling fast and secure mounting of conductors with a cross-section of 1-25mm² (solid) or 1-16mm² (stranded).
