Residual current device with overcurrent release 4P 6kA B 13A/30mA A QC/QB ADM413QC
Comprehensive protection for three-phase installations
The ADM413QC RCBO is an advanced Hager brand protective device that combines the functions of an overcurrent breaker and a residual current breaker, providing comprehensive protection for electrical installations against three main threats: circuit overload, short circuits, and electric shock.
The device is specifically designed for three-phase installations (4P), where it protects all four conductors simultaneously. It features a rated current of 13A and a residual current of 30mA, making it an ideal solution for lighting circuits, heating systems, and electronic devices in industrial and commercial facilities.
Type A guarantees the detection of both AC and pulsating DC currents, which is particularly important in modern installations with switching power supplies. Characteristic B ensures the device reacts faster to short circuits than to overloads - ideal for circuits with low inrush currents.
Construction and electrical parameters
The device's construction is based on a 4-module modular architecture, occupying a standard width on a 35mm DIN rail. A rated breaking capacity of 6kA ensures effective protection even during severe short circuits, confirming compliance with IEC 60898-1 and IEC 61009-1 standards.
The device features a rated insulation voltage Ui of 500V and a rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp of 4000V, guaranteeing safe operation under atmospheric and network surge conditions. Operation in overvoltage category III - the highest classification for stationary equipment - provides the highest level of resistance to network disturbances.
The I²t energy limitation class is 3, which allows for a significant reduction in the energy flowing through the device during a short circuit and protects the installation from secondary damage. Total power loss at the rated current is only 10.10W, minimizing energy consumption during normal operation.
Mounting and system compatibility
The device is equipped with the innovative QuickConnect connection system, which enables rapid installation without the need for tools to tighten wires. The lower part utilizes BiConnect technology, providing a solid screw connection for demanding applications.
The ability to connect flexible wires with cross-sections from 1.5 to 4.0 mm² and solid wires within the same range provides great flexibility in selecting installation cables. The nominal tightening torque is 2 Nm, guaranteeing optimal electrical contact without the risk of damaging the wire.
The possibility of 360° mounting facilitates installation in switchboards with different internal configurations. The device maintains full functionality within a temperature range from -25°C to +40°C, allowing for use in both cooled and heated rooms.
Standards and operating conditions
The breaker meets the requirements of the most important international standards: IEC/EN 61008-1 (for residual current breakers) and IEC/EN 60947-2 (for overcurrent breakers). The IP20 protection rating ensures safe use in enclosed switchboards.
The device is fully compatible with standard European electrical infrastructure - it operates at a frequency of 50Hz and a supply voltage from 230V to 400V AC. The environmental pollution degree is II - typical for most indoor applications.
