Residual current device with overcurrent release 4P 6kA C 16A/30mA A QC/QB ADM466QC
Electrical installation protections
The RCBO ADM466QC combines the functions of two devices: protection against electric shock and protection against the effects of overloads and short circuits, which simplifies installation and saves space in the distribution board.
Electrical parameters and operating characteristics
The device operates with a rated current of 16A at a voltage of 400V AC, providing effective protection for three-phase circuits. The Type C tripping characteristic means the switch reacts more slowly to short-term current surges (e.g., during motor startup) but quickly disconnects the circuit during actual overloads. A rated breaking capacity of 6 kA guarantees safe interruption even of very large short-circuit currents.
Type A sensitivity at 30 mA provides protection against electric shock, reacting to both sinusoidal and pulsating leakage currents. An insulation voltage of 500 V and surge immunity up to 4 kV make the device resistant to voltage surges in the power grid.
Construction and mounting possibilities
The switch occupies 4 modules on a standard DIN rail (width 71 mm, depth 70 mm), allowing for its installation in most modular distribution boards. The upper connections are made using QuickConnect technology, allowing for fast tool-free installation, while the lower BiConnect terminals provide a secure screw connection for conductors with a cross-section of 1,5-4,0 mm².
The device is adapted for mounting in temperatures from -25°C to +40°C, and the I²t energy limiting class of 3 limits the energy flowing through the device during a fault, thereby protecting the remaining elements of the installation.
Normative compliance and operating conditions
RCBO ADM466QC meets the requirements of standards EN 61009-1 and EN 60898-1, confirming its compliance with European safety standards. The IP2X protection rating protects against finger contact and against the entry of solid bodies larger than 12 mm.
The operating frequency range is exactly 50 Hz, adapted to the parameters of the Polish power grid. The product has a CE declaration of conformity and meets the requirements of the RoHS directive regarding the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
