Operates as a pulse-activated opening release for Hager circuit breakers

This shunt release (SH) activates the breaker's opening mechanism when control voltage is applied to its coil — regardless of whether it is AC or DC. It operates only upon receiving a pulse but can be continuously energized without overheating or damage during prolonged power supply. The pulse must last at least 100 ms to ensure proper operation.

Application in systems with HW1, HW2, HW4, and HW6 circuit breakers

Compatible with HW1, HW2, HW4, and HW6 series circuit breakers — mounts directly onto the device enclosure. It does not function as an overload or residual current circuit breaker; its sole function is the physical opening of contacts upon receiving a control signal. It can be installed in pairs with a second shunt release (SH2), but in such cases, an undervoltage release (UV) cannot be installed. Ideal for automation or remote control of circuits via PLC controllers, BMS systems, or building automation interfaces.

High durability and stability under harsh conditions

Protected against dust and solid objects larger than 1 mm (IP4X), it operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C — suitable for both unheated technical rooms and outdoor installations under enclosures. The coil features 480 V insulation and withstands voltage impulses up to 6000 V, ensuring safety even during network surges. Energy consumption is low: 5 VA during continuous operation and only 200 VA at startup, reducing the load on the control power source.

Halogen-free and compliant with environmental standards

The product is halogen-free, meets REACh (SVHC free) and ROHS requirements, ensuring the absence of toxic substances and easier recyclability. It has no switching contacts, thus generating no sparks and experiencing no mechanical wear. Installation is simple: connection is made via terminals on the enclosure, without the need for additional wires or terminal blocks.
