What is this set used for?

This is a recessed base unit for installing shower, bathtub, and thermostatic faucets—compatible with both new and older series of Hansgrohe and AXOR. It serves as the central hydraulic node to which external components such as the spout, overhead shower, hand shower, or thermostat are connected. When used with adapter 13588000, it is compatible with the entire range of existing and future external components—eliminating the need to replace the entire installation during upgrades.

How does it work and what simplifies installation?

Constructed from DZR brass and filled with EPP foam, it dampens water flow noise and provides thermal insulation—preventing the unit from heating up or vibrating like a “drum.” The adjustable sleeve eliminates the need to cut pipes; simply slide it to the required depth. The mounting ring can be adjusted in 5 mm increments, and its design allows installation from either the front or back of the wall—ideal for diverse construction conditions. The integrated spirit level enables precise horizontal and vertical alignment without additional tools.

The threaded connections Rp ½ (DN15) are standard, and water supply is routed through an M16 channel, making it easy to connect supply pipes. Minimum installation depth is 80 mm, maximum is 108 mm. The sealing collar is permanently installed—no additional fitting or adjustment is required.
