This specialized cable chain cable, designated MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR, is designed to operate in demanding conditions, such as continuous bending and movement found in machines and automated equipment. It meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing its safety and compliance with international standards. This cable is ideal for applications requiring high flexibility, abrasion and radiation resistance, and protection against electromagnetic interference.

Construction and properties

The cable features a robust construction ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation. Copper strands, class 6 (multi-strand, very flexible), are insulated with special PP, providing good flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The strands are twisted in parallel with an optimal twist pitch to minimize the risk of damage during bending. Additionally, the cable has a braided copper screen (approx. 85% coverage) that effectively protects against electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR), providing resistance to oils, abrasion and weathering.

It is worth noting the wide operating temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C (flexible). This makes the cable perfect for use in various industrial environments. The minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for stationary applications and 7.5x cable diameter for dynamic applications.
