Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 512 25G2,5/AWG14 grey, halogen-free, shielded 19907

Chain guide cable – reliability in harsh conditions

This shielded HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 512 cable is a solution designed for operation in demanding industrial environments, especially in applications with chain guides. The cable is distinguished by its high flexibility and resistance to external factors, which translates into a long service life and minimizes the risk of failure. It meets the UL Style 20234 standard, guaranteeing safety and compliance with international standards.

Construction and properties

The key to the exceptional durability of SHIPFLEX 512 is its advanced construction. It uses stranded copper conductors, which provide excellent conductivity and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending. The conductors are insulated with a special material, and the entire cable is surrounded by a screen of tinned copper wires – this is essential for ensuring protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) is characterized by high resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. In addition, the cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.

It is worth paying attention to a few key features:

  • Flexibility: Class 6 conductors provide exceptional flexibility, making installation and operation in dynamic applications easier.
  • Chemical resistance: The polyurethane outer jacket is resistant to oils, making the cable ideal for use in the automotive, mechanical and shipbuilding industries.
  • Safety: The halogen-free construction minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire.
  • Shielding: Effectively reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
  • Mechanical strength: Designed for operation in chain guides, where it is exposed to continuous bending and friction.
  • Wide temperature range: Allows operation in both low (-40°C) and high (+80°C) temperatures.

Applications and parameters

The SHIPFLEX 512 cable is primarily used in power and control systems for machines and equipment operating in harsh industrial conditions. It is ideal for:

  • Industrial robotics
  • Construction machinery
  • Port and shipbuilding equipment
  • Offshore applications
  • Internal transport systems

The cable has a conductor cross-section of 2.5 mm² (equivalent to AWG 14) and consists of 25 conductors. Its outer diameter is approximately 24.2 mm. Please remember that the AWG sizes given are approximate and the exact cross-section is given in mm². The minimum bending radius of the cable is 7.5 times its outer diameter – it is worth taking this into account during installation to avoid damaging the cable. The nominal UL voltage is 1000 V and the insulation resistance is at least 100 MOhm x km.
