This shielded chain cable HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 512 is a solution designed for demanding applications, especially in marine and industrial environments. The cable is distinguished by its high resistance to external factors, flexibility and safety of use. It is ideal where standard cabling fails.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring long-term and trouble-free operation. Copper strands, made in accordance with DIN VDE 0295 cl.6, BS 6360 cl.6 and IEC 60228 cl.6 standards, are twisted together, providing exceptional flexibility. Special strand insulation and a screen of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage) minimize electromagnetic interference and ensure stable signal transmission. The polyurethane outer jacket (PUR) guarantees resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation and extreme temperatures.

• Mechanical strength: The cable is designed to work in cable chains, which confirms its resistance to repeated bending and stretching.
• Safety: The cable meets the standards for flame retardancy (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1) and halogen-free (DIN VDE 0482 part 267/ DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1), which minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.
• Chemical resistance: The cable is resistant to oils according to IEC 60092-350, Annex F – important in industrial environments.
• Flexibility at low temperatures: It retains its properties even at -40°C (IEC 60092-350, Annex E).

The SHIPFLEX 512 cable is primarily used in cable track systems, but also in other applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to harsh environmental conditions. It is ideal for use in the marine, port industry, as well as in machines and equipment operating in heavy industry.
