Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 512 2x2.5/AWG14 grey, halogen-free, shielded 19900

Chain guide cable – reliability in harsh conditions

This shielded chain cable HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 512 is a solution designed for operation in demanding industrial environments, especially in applications with chain guides. It meets UL Style 20234 standard, which guarantees high quality and safety. The cable is characterized by flexibility, resistance to external factors and durability, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction. Copper strands, made in accordance with DIN VDE 0295 cl.6, BS 6360 cl.6 and IEC 60228 cl.6 standards, are twisted strands, which ensures high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending in chain guides. The strands are insulated with a special material, and their black markings with white numbering facilitate identification. Yellow-green protective strand (in the case of cables with three or more strands) is placed on the outside for additional safety. Shielding with tinned copper wires (with the option of aluminum and foil under the braid) minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of polyurethane (UL std. 1581 Tab. 50227), which is resistant to oils, chemicals and UV radiation.

Application and benefits

The SHIPFLEX 512 cable has been designed for use in harsh industrial conditions, including marine areas. Thanks to its high radiation resistance (up to 100x10^6 cJ/kg) and maintaining flexibility at low temperatures (down to -40°C), it is ideal for applications exposed to extreme environmental conditions. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free (compliant with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/ DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1) and has flame retardancy (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1), which increases safety of use. This cable is used in industrial robotics, construction machinery, steel coil transport systems and everywhere where high reliability and durability of electrical connections in continuous motion are required. The use of shielding ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), which is important in modern industrial automation systems.
