Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 512 36G1/AWG18 grey, halogen-free, shielded 19890

Chain guide cable – reliability in harsh conditions

This shielded HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 512 chain cable is a solution designed for demanding industrial applications, especially in marine environments. The cable is distinguished by its high resistance to external factors, flexibility and safety of use. It is ideal for where standard cabling fails – in continuous motion, exposure to oils, UV radiation or extreme temperatures.

Construction and properties

The SHIPFLEX 512 cable is characterized by an advanced construction ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Made of stranded copper wire (class 6), it has 36 cores with a cross-section of 1 mm², which provides sufficient bandwidth for various applications. The cores are insulated with a special material and numbered according to DIN VDE 0293, and the protective core is clearly marked in yellow-green. The screen made of tinned copper wires (coverage approx. 85%) minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in precise control systems. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyurethane (PUR) coating in gray (RAL 7001), resistant to abrasion, oils and UV radiation.

Additionally, the cable meets strict safety standards: it is flame retardant (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1) and halogen-free (DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1). This guarantees safety in the event of a fire and minimal environmental impact. Resistance to low temperatures down to -40°C (IEC 60092-350 annex E) allows operation in difficult climatic conditions.

Applications and benefits

The SHIPFLEX 512 cable is primarily used in:

  • Chain guide systems: Thanks to its high flexibility and resistance to bending, it is ideal for dynamic applications.
  • Marine industry: The special design and materials ensure reliable operation in a humid and aggressive marine environment.
  • Industrial machinery and equipment: Excellent for powering motors, sensors and other automation components.
  • Applications requiring protection against electromagnetic interference: Shielding ensures stable signal transmission.
  • Environments exposed to oils and chemicals: The PUR coating protects against damage caused by aggressive substances.

It is worth remembering a few important features:

  • High flexibility: Allows easy routing of the cable in tight spaces and dynamic applications.
  • UV resistance: Ensures the durability of the cable even with prolonged exposure to sunlight.
  • Halogen-free: Increases fire safety and minimizes the emission of toxic gases during combustion.
  • Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): Reduced interference ensures stable device operation.
  • Metered cable: Facilitates precise adjustment of the cable length to the needs of the installation.
