Cable for chain guides – reliability in harsh conditions
This shielded HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 512 chain cable is a solution designed for operation in demanding industrial environments, particularly in applications with chain guides. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it an ideal choice for both installers and end-users. It meets the UL Style 20234 standard, guaranteeing safety and compliance with international standards.
Construction and properties
The SHIPFLEX 512 cable features a robust construction. It is made of stranded copper conductors of class 6, which ensures high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending. The conductors are insulated with a special material, and the entire cable is shielded with tinned copper wires (with the option of an additional aluminum foil), which minimizes electromagnetic interference. The polyurethane outer jacket (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils, chemicals and extreme temperatures. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free, which increases fire safety.
It is worth noting the wide operating temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (flexible and stationary), which allows it to be used in a variety of conditions. The minimum bending radius of 7.5x the cable diameter makes installation easier even in tight spaces. Resistance to UV radiation and weather conditions makes the cable also perfect for outdoor applications.
Applications and benefits
The SHIPFLEX 512 cable is primarily used in:
- Industrial machines and equipment: ideal for powering moving parts in chain guides.
- Marine applications: thanks to its high resistance to environmental factors, it works perfectly on ships and drilling platforms.
- Robotics: provides a reliable electrical connection in dynamic robotic systems.
- Shipbuilding industry: high resistance to conditions prevailing in the marine environment.
The main benefits of choosing this cable are:
- High flexibility: allows repeated bending without damage.
- Resistance to external factors: ensures long-lasting and reliable operation in harsh conditions.
- Safety: halogen-free jacket minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.
- EMC shielding: reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
- Compliance with standards: meets the requirements of UL Style 20234 and other international standards.
Additional information: the conductor cross-section is 0.75 mm², and the approximate outer diameter is 7.2 mm. The cable is supplied in meters and has a gray (RAL 7001) outer jacket for easy identification.
