Cable for chain guides – reliability in harsh conditions

This shielded HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 512 chain cable is a solution designed for operation in demanding industrial environments, as well as in marine applications. It is characterized by high resistance to external factors and ensures safe energy transmission in dynamic systems. The cable is particularly recommended for chain guides, where it is exposed to continuous bending and movement.

Construction and properties

The SHIPFLEX 512 cable stands out with its solid construction. Copper strands, made in class 6 (multi-strand, very flexible), provide flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The strands are insulated with a special material, and their identification is done using numbers. The whole is surrounded by a screen of tinned copper wires, which minimizes electromagnetic interference and ensures stable signal transmission. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) guarantees resistance to abrasion, oils, chemicals and UV radiation. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in case of fire.

The cable meets the stringent UL Style 20234 standards and is characterized by high radiation resistance up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (100 Mrad). It is also resistant to low temperatures (down to -40°C) and weather conditions. The application does not contain silicone or cadmium, which facilitates subsequent painting.
