Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 512 7G2,5/AWG14 grey, halogen-free, shielded 19904

Chain guide cable – reliability in harsh conditions

This shielded chain cable HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 512 7G2,5/AWG14 is a solution designed for demanding industrial applications, especially in marine environments. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it an ideal choice for chain guide systems. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures safe and reliable power transmission in dynamic applications.

Construction and properties

The cable features a solid construction. Copper strands, stranded wires class 6 (according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228) provide good flexibility and mechanical strength. The strands are insulated with a special material, and their black color with white numbering makes identification easier. The yellow-green protective strand (available with 3 strands or more) is placed on the outside for increased safety. Shielding with tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage) effectively minimizes electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyurethane coating in gray (RAL 7001), resistant to abrasion, oils and UV radiation.

  • Mechanical strength: The cable construction allows for repeated bending without loss of conductive properties – ideal for chain guides.
  • Chemical resistance: The polyurethane coating provides resistance to oils, greases and other aggressive chemicals found in industry.
  • Safety: The cable meets the standards for low voltage (CE) and has flame-retardant and halogen-free properties, increasing safety.
  • EMC shielding: Effectively reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
  • Wide temperature range: Allows operation at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (flexibly and stationary), as well as during installation from -25°C.

Applications and compliance with standards

This cable is used in a wide range of industrial applications, especially where high flexibility, resistance to external factors and protection against electromagnetic interference are required. It will be perfect in:

  • Port machines and equipment
  • Industrial automation systems
  • Robotics
  • Offshore applications
  • Construction and agricultural machinery

The cable meets a number of European and international standards:

  • DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 (flame retardancy)
  • DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1 (halogen-free)
  • IEC 60092-350 (oil resistance)
  • IEC 60092-350 (behavior at low temperatures)
  • UL Style 20234

Thanks to this, you can be sure that the product meets the highest standards of quality and safety. The cable is supplied in meter lengths for convenient installation and adaptation to the needs of a specific application. Remember to use a suitable shielding clamp at both ends of the cable for optimal EMC protection!
