This specialized HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA chain cable is designed to operate in demanding industrial environments where reliability and resistance to mechanical damage are critical. This cable, characterized by its high flexibility and resistance to bending, is ideal for applications with moving parts, such as robots, machine tools or industrial automation. The cable construction provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference thanks to the copper braid screen.

The cable also features high electrical parameters – a rated voltage of 600 V and compliance with UL/CSA standards guarantee safety and reliable operation. Made of high-quality materials, including polyurethane (PUR) and special PP as wire insulation, it ensures long-term operation even in extreme conditions. A halogen-free outer jacket increases fire safety.

Construction and properties

The cable construction has been carefully designed to provide optimal performance and durability:

• Wires: 18 stranded, flexible copper wires with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², providing good conductivity and flexibility.
• Insulation: Special PP (polypropylene) insulating the wires, resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage. Black wires with white numbering facilitate identification.
• Shielding: A braid of copper wires covering approximately 85% of the surface provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC).
• Inner jacket: Halogen-free TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) increases fire safety and cable flexibility.
• Outer jacket: Durable polyurethane (PUR) resistant to oils, abrasion, tearing and UV radiation.
• Additional protection: A protective film and a fleece wrap (from 4 mm²) further protect the cable from mechanical damage.

Thanks to the materials used, the cable is resistant to oils, solvents, acids and alkalis and is characterized by low adhesion – which facilitates its assembly and operation. The cable retains its flexibility over a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from -30°C to +80°C during assembly or dynamic operation.
