This shielded HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA chain cable is designed to operate in demanding conditions where high flexibility and resistance to external factors are essential. This cable is used in machines, machine tools, robotics and other moving elements of industrial automation. Its construction ensures reliable transmission of signals and power, minimizing the risk of electromagnetic interference.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by an advanced construction that guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Highly flexible copper strands (class 6) are insulated with special PP, which provides good resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. A copper braid effectively shields the cable against electromagnetic interference (EMC), and the outer polyurethane (PUR) coating provides resistance to oils, chemicals and UV radiation. In addition, the materials used in production are halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.

• Mechanical strength: The cable is tested for over 10 million bending cycles, which confirms its high resistance to material fatigue during dynamic operation.
• Wide temperature range: The ability to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C (dynamic) makes the cable suitable for use in various environmental conditions.
• Safety: The halogen-free PUR coating meets fire safety standards (IEC 60332-1-2 / UL VW-1 / CSA FT1).
• Flexibility: The multi-strand construction of class 6 strands provides high flexibility, making it easier to install and route the cable in tight spaces.
• Shielding: The copper braid minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring a stable signal.

The cable has 20 cores with a cross-section of 1 mm², which allows for the transmission of both control signals and power. The rated voltage is 600 V, and the outer diameter is approximately 19.4 mm. Core identification is done using numbers, which makes it easier to distinguish them during installation. The cable is metered and supplied in gray (RAL 7001). Thanks to its properties, it is ideal for use in motion control systems, industrial robotics and anywhere where high reliability and durability of electrical connections are required under dynamic loads.
