Chain guide cable for demanding applications
This specialized chain guide cable, designated HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA, is designed to operate in extreme conditions requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors. This cable is used in machines, machine tools, robotics and other moving elements of industrial automation. The use of a screen provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation. High-quality materials are used in it, such as polyurethane (PUR) for the outer jacket and special polypropylene (PP) for the core insulation. The copper strands are multi-stranded and very flexible (class 6), which ensures resistance to repeated bending. Additionally, the cable has a protective braid of copper wires, which effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference. The whole is protected by a halogen-free inner jacket made of TPE and a protective foil.
It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures – from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -30°C to +80°C during dynamic operation. The cable is also resistant to UV radiation, oils, acids, alkalis and other aggressive chemicals. It meets UL/CSA standards and has a certificate of conformity with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE).
Key advantages and applications
- Mechanical strength: The cable construction provides high resistance to abrasion, tearing and impact, which translates into a longer life in demanding applications.
- Flexibility: Multi-stranded cores and special construction allow repeated bending without damage.
- Protection against interference: Braided screen minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference on transmitted signals.
- Safety: Halogen-free coating reduces the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.
- Wide temperature range: The cable can be used in difficult temperature conditions.
- Application: Ideal for chain guide systems in machines and industrial automation equipment, robotics and other applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors.
- Chemical resistance: Resistant to the action of oils, solvents, acids and alkalis – which increases its durability in harsh industrial environments.
This cable is metered and available in gray (RAL 7001). Its outer diameter is approximately 10.2 mm and the core cross-section is 1.5 mm². Let's remember that the cores are marked with numbers for easy identification.
