Chain guide cable for demanding applications
This shielded HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA chain guide cable is designed to operate in harsh industrial environments where high flexibility, resistance to external factors and protection against electromagnetic interference are required. It is ideal for power and control applications in machines, robots and automation systems.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction ensuring high reliability and durability. Copper strands, made in class 6 (multi-wire, very flexible), are insulated with special PP, which provides good flexibility and abrasion resistance. The strands are twisted in parallel with an optimal twist pitch, and additionally secured with a special protective braid. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free inner jacket made of TPE and a braid screen made of copper wires (approx. 85% coverage), which effectively suppresses interference. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to oils, chemicals, UV radiation and mechanical damage.
The cable meets UL/CSA standards and has certificates confirming its safety and compliance with industry requirements. It is also flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 and UL VW-1 / CSA FT1 standards.
Applications and benefits
- Applications: The cable is intended for use in moving parts of machines, robotics, CNC machining centers and other devices exposed to continuous bending and twisting. It will also work in industrial environments with increased humidity, dust or exposure to aggressive chemicals.
- Protection against interference: The braid screen minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference on control and power signals, ensuring stable operation of devices.
- High flexibility: The cable construction with class 6 strands and high-quality materials provide high flexibility even with repeated bending.
- Durability: Resistance to abrasion, oils, chemicals and UV radiation guarantees long cable life even in harsh working conditions.
- Safety: The halogen-free coating reduces the risk of toxic gas release in the event of a fire.
- Wide temperature range: The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and -30°C to +80°C (flexible).
- Radiation resistance: The cable is resistant to radiation up to 50x10^6 cJ/kg (up to 50 Mrad).
The strand cross-section is 2.5 mm², and the outer diameter is approximately 11.9 mm. The gray color (RAL 7001) makes it easier to identify the cable in the installation. Strand identification is done using numbers. The rated voltage is 600 V and the test voltage is 3000V.
