Chain guide cable for demanding applications
This specialized chain cable, designated HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA, is designed to operate in extreme conditions requiring high flexibility, resistance to external factors and reliability. It meets UL/CSA standards, confirming its safety and quality. It is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for a durable and efficient cable for use in machinery and automation equipment.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction ensuring long-term operation. It uses stranded copper conductors of flexibility class 6, which guarantees high flexibility even with frequent bending. The conductor insulation is made of special polypropylene (PP), and the entire cable is surrounded by a copper braid screen, which minimizes electromagnetic interference. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils, chemicals and UV radiation. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
Applications and benefits
This cable is widely used in automation industry, robotics, machine tools and other machines and equipment exposed to intensive movements and external factors. Its shielding makes it ideal for transmitting control signals in electromagnetically disturbed environments. Thanks to its high flexibility and resistance to bending, the cable ensures reliable operation even with millions of bending cycles. Additional advantages include:
- Wide operating temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C (flexible) and -30°C to +80°C (stationary).
- Chemical resistance: high resistance to oils, solvents, acids and bases.
- Safety: halogen-free coating reduces the emission of toxic gases in case of fire.
- Durability: robust construction ensures long service life even in harsh operating conditions.
- Compliance with standards: meets the requirements of UL/CSA and IEC 60332-1-2 (flammability tests).
- Flexibility: Class 6 conductors provide exceptional cable flexibility.
- Shielding: Copper braid minimizes electromagnetic interference.
The conductor cross-section is 0.75 mm², and the outer diameter is approximately 21.2 mm. The cable has 36 conductors with digital identification and a yellow-green protective conductor (depending on the configuration). Available in gray (RAL 7001).
