Chain guide cable for demanding applications

This specialized chain guide cable, designated HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA, is designed to operate in extreme conditions requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors. This cable is used in machines, machine tools, robotics and other moving structures where frequent bending and exposure to abrasion occur. It meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing its safety and reliability in installations covered by these standards.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation. It is made of multi-strand, highly flexible copper wire (class 6), insulated with special PP. The wires are twisted in parallel with an optimal twist pitch, and then secured with a special protective braid. Copper wire braided shield (approximately 85% coverage) minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is particularly important in industrial applications. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free inner jacket made of TPE and a durable outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR), resistant to abrasion, oils and other aggressive substances. Thanks to the materials used, the cable maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C during dynamic operation.
