Cable carrier chains for demanding applications
This high-quality cable carrier chain lead, identified as HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA, is designed to operate in extreme conditions, offering reliability and durability in industrial applications. This cable is particularly recommended for systems requiring resistance to bending, abrasion, and the action of oils and chemicals. It meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing safety and compliance with regulations.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction that provides its unique properties. It consists of 42 very flexible copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², insulated with special PP. The conductors are twisted in a way that minimizes the risk of damage during repeated bending, and are additionally protected with a special protective braid. A braided copper wire screen (approx. 85% coverage) provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR), which is resistant to abrasion, oils, chemicals and UV radiation. The yellow-green protective conductor is present from 3 conductors upwards.
Applications and benefits
This cable finds wide application in machines and equipment exposed to intensive movements and bending, such as:
- Industrial robots
- Machine tools
- Industrial automation
- Conveyor systems
- Applications in harsh environmental conditions
Benefits for the installer:
- Easy installation thanks to the flexible construction and meter marking of length.
- Ensuring the reliability of the installation by meeting UL/CSA standards and high-quality materials.
- Minimizing the risk of failure thanks to resistance to external factors (oils, chemicals, UV radiation).
- Halogen-free coating increases fire safety.
Benefits for the end user:
- Long-term operation even in demanding working conditions.
- Reliable operation of machines and equipment thanks to EMC shielding.
- Reduced costs associated with downtime and repairs.
- Safety of use thanks to compliance with UL/CSA safety standards and the use of halogen-free materials.
Additional information: the cable is tested for approx. 10 million bending cycles, which confirms its exceptional mechanical strength. Radiation resistance up to 50x10^6 cJ/kg (up to 50 Mrad) makes it suitable for use in specific industrial environments. Coupling resistance does not exceed 250 Ohm/km, ensuring high signal transmission quality.
