Robust chain guide cables for demanding applications
This shielded chain cable from HELUKABEL's MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA series is designed for operation in harsh industrial environments where high flexibility, resistance to external factors and reliability are required. This cable is used in machines, machine tools, robotics and other devices exposed to continuous bending and movement. Thanks to its construction based on high-quality materials, it ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction that guarantees its durability and resistance to damage. Multi-strand copper conductors with a cross-section of 1 mm² provide good electrical conductivity. Polypropylene (PP) insulation provides effective protection against short circuits and mechanical damage. A braided copper screen minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is particularly important in applications sensitive to interference. A protective braid protects the conductors from abrasion and damage during operation in motion. A halogen-free outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to oils, chemicals and UV radiation.
The cable meets UL/CSA standards and has a rated voltage of 600 V, confirming its safety and reliability. It is also flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1-2 / UL VW-1 / CSA FT1 standards. The cable's flexibility allows for repeated bending without loss of electrical and mechanical properties – tested for approx. 10 million bending cycles.
