Chain guide cable for demanding applications

This high-quality chain guide cable, identified as HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA, is designed to operate in extreme conditions requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors. This cable is used in machines, machine tools, robotics, and in moving parts of automatic machines. The use of a shield provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by an advanced construction ensuring long-term and reliable operation. Multi-strand copper conductors of class 6 are insulated with special PP, guaranteeing flexibility and abrasion resistance. Additionally, the cable has a protective braid and a screen of copper wires (approx. 85% coverage), which minimizes the risk of mechanical damage and signal interference. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to oils, chemicals and UV radiation. The whole is halogen-free, which increases safety in case of fire.

Application and user parameters

This cable is ideal for applications requiring frequent bending and movement, such as cable carrier systems. It meets UL/CSA standards and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Thanks to the wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +80°C), it can be used both indoors and outdoors. The conductor cross-section of 16 mm² allows for transmission of higher currents. Conductor identification is done with numbers, and the protective conductor is yellow-green (in versions with a protective conductor). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 33.6 mm.
