Chain guide cable – reliability in demanding conditions

This specialized chain cable, designated HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-C-PUR UL/CSA, is designed to operate in extreme conditions requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors. This cable is used in machinery, robotics and industrial automation, providing reliable transmission of control signals even with intense bending. The cable design has been carefully considered for both installation and long-term operation.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction using high-quality materials. Multi-wire, very flexible (class 6) copper strands ensure excellent flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending. The core insulation made of special PP guarantees good electrical insulation and chemical resistance. Additionally, the cable has a braided copper wire screen (approx. 85% coverage) which minimizes electromagnetic interference and ensures a stable signal. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyurethane (PUR) coating, resistant to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. It is worth noting the halogen-free construction of the inner jacket with TPE, which increases safety in case of fire.

• Mechanical strength: A special protective braid and construction with non-woven fabric (from 4 mm²) increase resistance to mechanical damage and extend the cable's life.

User parameters and compliance with standards

The cable meets the stringent UL/CSA standards and has a rated voltage of 600 V. The permissible operating temperature is from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C during installation. The outer diameter of the cable is 23.2 mm and the core cross-section is 6 mm². The cable is metered for easy dispensing during installation. Additionally, it meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE). The cable is available in gray (RAL 7001) to facilitate identification in the installation.
