Flexible control cable with steel braiding – reliability and protection

This flexible SY-JZ 8G1 cable is a robust solution for demanding industrial applications, internal installations and power plants. The cable is distinguished by its high mechanical resistance thanks to the dense steel braiding, which does not restrict its flexibility. The transparent outer coating allows for visual control of the braiding condition, and galvanization protects it against corrosion.

Construction and properties

The cable is designed for durability and safety. It is made of multi-strand copper conductors (class 5), which ensures good flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during frequent bending. The wire insulation is made of high-quality PVC (Z 7225), guaranteeing good electrical insulation. The wires are numbered for easy identification, and the 8-core version also includes a yellow-green protective wire. The steel braiding, galvanized to protect against corrosion, provides an additional layer of protection against mechanical damage.

The cable complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU. It is resistant to oils and many chemicals – detailed information can be found in the "Technical Information" table (available in the product documentation). The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not interfere with painting.

User parameters and scope of applications

This cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures: from -15°C to +80°C for flexible operation and from -40°C to +80°C for stationary operation. The rated voltage U is 500V, and the wire cross-section is 1 mm². The minimum bending radius is 6x cable diameter for fixed laying and 20x cable diameter during flexible operation. Thanks to these parameters, the cable is perfect for applications requiring high flexibility and mechanical resistance, such as:
