Shielded control cable – reliable signal transmission
This flexible Y-CY-JB 4G0.75 cable is an ideal solution for applications in control, regulation technology and mechanical engineering. It is suitable for both control installations and signal transmission in electronics. The screened construction provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing stable and reliable data transmission. The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of a specific application.
Construction and properties for professionals
The cable is constructed of four strands with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², made of unannealed copper, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5. Each strand is insulated with special PVC (Z 7225), and the strands are color-coded for easy identification. In addition, the cable has a yellow-green protective strand placed on the outside (from 3 strands). The braid of tinned copper wires (coverage approx. 85%) effectively shields the cable against interference. The outer jacket is made of transparent PVC, allowing for visual inspection of the cable condition. The flexible construction allows operation under medium mechanical stress and slow movement.
Technical parameters and scope of applications
The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V and a wide range of operating temperatures: from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C (flexible). It is resistant to oils and many chemical compounds (detailed information in the "Technical Information" table). The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter during flexible operation and 5x diameter for fixed installation. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 8.9 mm.
