Flexible cable for dynamic applications

This grey flexible cable m.FLEX 512-PUR 65G1, made with halogen-free PUR insulation, is designed for operation in demanding conditions, especially in moving parts of machines and robotics. Its construction ensures reliability and long life even with frequent bending. The cable is ideal for industrial applications where resistance to mechanical and chemical factors is important.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of 65 copper strands, twisted into a cable with a cross-section of 1 mm². The strands are insulated with modified PP, which provides good flexibility and abrasion resistance. The protective conductor (yellow-green) is located externally for additional safety. The whole is surrounded by a special TMPU polyurethane outer jacket, which is characterized by high resistance to oils, solvents, acids, alkalis and UV radiation. This ensures that the cable retains its properties even in difficult environmental conditions.

• Mechanical strength: The cable was tested by method H for over 10 million bending cycles, which confirms its exceptional resistance to material fatigue.
• Halogen-free: The absence of halogens in the insulation means less toxicity of the fumes released in the event of a fire, which increases safety.
• Wide temperature range: The cable can operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C during dynamic operation.
• Chemical resistance: The outer jacket material is resistant to oils, solvents, acids and alkalis.
• Low friction resistance: PP insulation of the strands minimizes friction resistance during bending, which translates into a longer cable life.
• Compliance with standards: The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-21 / DIN EN 50525-2-21 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
