This shielded halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C 3G1 mm² control and power cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who expect high quality and safety. Its construction ensures reliable operation in various conditions, and halogen-free properties minimize the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on copper stranded wires class 5 (flexible multi-wire) with a cross-section of 1 mm². The cores are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer and marked with black numbers according to DIN VDE 0293. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective core (from 3 cores), placed in the outer layer. Parallel twisted cores provide flexibility and facilitate assembly. The whole is surrounded by a separating foil and a braid screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage), which provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The outer jacket is made of halogen-free polymer in gray color (RAL 7001).
Application and benefits
The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable is perfect for both fixed and mobile installations (with free, unforced movements). Thanks to the wide range of operating temperatures (-40°C to +80°C) it can be used in difficult environmental conditions. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939, UL-Std.758, which guarantees its safety and compliance with applicable regulations. Additional advantages include resistance to oils, UV radiation and weathering. To optimize electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to ensure bilateral contact of the copper braid with cable glands.
